Crayon Physics Deluxe

Petri of Kloonigames recently posted about his current project, Crayon Physics Deluxe. The original Crayon Physics was mostly just a prototype, with only a few levels and basic functionality. According to the post, you can now draw any shape you want and have it react with proper physics to the world around it. When I first played the prototype, I liked it. I’ll definitely be following this one.

This shows a general movement that I’ve thought to be necessary in the game development industry, toward games with creative basis and away from just adding gimmicks to things we’ve seen before. This kind of game gives the player something new and, in the best cases, something easy to pick up. Crayon Physics is both, and I have high hopes for the deluxe version.
