Every two years, besides some exceptions, the Quake communities come together to show off their stuff at the online Quake Expo. This includes players, mappers, modders and engine programmers from original Quake, Quake 2 and Quake 3. It focuses on the games that have open source, hence the lack of Quake 4. For some time, I worked on some original Quake projects and participated in a couple of expos. I don’t know if I’ll have much to show this time around, but we’ll see. Either way, I thought I’d mention Quake Expo 2008 which started today. It’s a little early on, so more content may show up as it continues, but it’s worth checking out, if you’re interested.
